THE ITACA CONTEST
Calling writers, illustrators, photographers, homebodies, travelers, tourists, artists, migrants, students …
The place where I belong – Un luogo tutto per me is an invitation to share a special place – real or imaginary – you return to and find comfort in. Whether it is a location, an object, a face, a feeling or an atmosphere, each one of us has at least one place we feel like we belong.
Winning works will showcase unique voices, perspectives, and original ways of thinking about travelling and belonging.
The works will be exhibited this May at the IT.A.CÀ Travelers and Migrants Festival in Bologna, Italy and at the PenTales Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia. Last year’s celebration took place at the Institute of Public Knowledge in New York City with readings by award winning director Charles Hobson, Social Media Mogul Rachel Sklar, Vogue contributor Darrell Hartman, and Paris Review Editor Sadie Stein. The event was featured in Bomb Magazine. Check out photos from last years event.
